 Events are a great way for NAHS to reach out to our community and raise much-needed funds to advance our mission. Our Summer golf outing, Putts for Pets, is always a popular event. In October, our annual dinner dance and silent auction attracts Naperville's movers and shakers who support the shelter.

| NAHS Adopt-a-thon - Saturday, August 28 & Sunday, August 29 |
NAHS will have extended adoption hours for this annual event. Visit us on Saturday 2:00-10:00 PM or Sunday
10:00 AM-4:00 PM. Each pet will go home with a free starter kit, plus coupons from PETCO. If you've been thinking about adding a pet to your family, this weekend will be the perfect time! PETCO of Naperville and Caribou Coffee from Design Pointe Center will be on hand Saturday with samples and give-aways.
This year NAHS’ adopt-a-thon is highlighting our fabulous adult cats available for adoption. Visit us on August 28 and 29 and adopt an adult cat (age 6 months and older) for just $25.
Summer is a particularly difficult time for adult cats in shelters; when kittens are available, the adult cats sometimes go for days without any special visitors except shelter workers and volutneers. Yes, kittens are fuzzy and playful, but many people don't think about all the perks that go along with adopting an adult cat, including the fact adult cats know that curtains are not for climbing!
If you're thinking of adding a feline friend to your family, go ahead, make a cat's (and shelter worker's) day - adopt an adult cat!

| Seasonal Beer Tasting - Friday, September 17, 2010 |
Joins NAHS at Binny's Beverage Depot of Naperville from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM for this tasting event. Taste over 50 beers from around the world, including some of the new release Octoberfest beers. Proceeds from this event will be donated to NAHS. The tasting will be $10 with a Binny's Card and $15 for non-members. Call (630) 717-0100 or email naperville@binnys.com for more information.

| Naperville Wine Festival - Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18, 2010 |
NAHS is excited to be the charity partner for the 2010 wine festival. This is a great event for wine lovers and those that want to learn more about wine. Plan to attend this year's event at Naper Settlement on Friday, September 17 from 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM and Saturday, September 18 from 3:00 PM - 9 PM. A portion of the proceeds from the 2010 Naperville Wine Festival will be donated to Naperville Area Humane Society.
Adult wine tasting tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door and include a souvenir wine glass, ten tastings, festival program, entertainment and the opportunity to purchase wine at a discount. Designated driver tickets are $10 in advance or at the door and include two non-alcoholic drinks, festival program, entertainment and souvenir wine glass upon departure.

| A Taste of Italy Wine Tasting - Saturday, October 2, 2010 |
Join NAHS at Binny's Beverage Depot of Naperville from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM for this fantastic tasting event. An Italian festival of over 60 wines from Tuscany, Verona, Umbria, Piedmont, Sicily and more will be available to sample. Authentic Italian cuisine provided by Braconi's of Naperville will be provided. Proceeds will be donated to NAHS. The tasting will be $10 with a Binny's Card and $15 for non-members.
